HOUSE ARSÉNIO ALMEIDA
The land where the project is located is the result of the expansion of a small cluster of rural features with scattered buildings. It is a house for permanent use, with three bedrooms, two living rooms and services, located on a trapezoidal, almost rectangular plot of land, slightly oblique in relation to the road and with a downward slope in depth. The shape and slope of the land suggested that the house be located in depth, creating a volume aligned with the road and another volume, parallel to the lateral limits of the land, to make better use of the surrounding outdoor space. Another volume was created to connect the two volumes, with a higher ceiling, where the stairs leading to the lower floor and the kitchen are located. The project prioritized the relationships between the living spaces and the exterior, based on the intended program, seeking solar optimization and a (nearly impossible) dialogue with the (almost non-existent) urban elements.
